Pain Killers........?

My appoonmemt for the 7th has been moved to the 28th of July to have my broken wisdom teeth extracted.The oral surgeon is having an unexpected surgery..that's why it was postponed.Will they prescribe me pain meds for the meantime?Its obvious by looking at them they are in sad shape and they hurt to even smile sometimes.
