Are these really proper manners?

My children are being raised to have good manners as everyone should, that means adults, especially parents! Good manners show respect to yourself and others. It is not that hard to do and my children are often complimented on their good manners, politeness and kindness. Now being kids, their manners are frequently not as spot on at home as out but that is to be expected, they are only 8 and 10. Children are a wonderful work in progress and it truly does benefit them in the long to to teach them how to behave properly.
