Am I trying to convince atheists!?!?

One believer recently wrote that I shouldn't spend my time trying to convince atheists in the validity of Scripture and prophecy (paraphrasing). I know that I can say nothing of potency to bring about a conversion of nonbelievers. The reason I affront their stumbling assertions of inaccuracy is not for them; it's for the young who are at the crossroads, whose minds are easily swayed with erroneous venom and falsified information. For them, I declare the truths of Scripture without regard of the bitterness which follows. One reply recently expressed awe that I would use Josephus in evidence that Christ lived, because it is well known to be a fraud. Correction from the learned: the interpolation in Josephus is pinpointed to 'He is the Messiah.' The phrase that said, "there arose Jesus of Nazareth" was original. As far as Josephus mentioning religious mythology also- most all ancient history carried religious language of the culture of the time. Yet the Jesus part was historical because Josephus was a non-Christian Jew who barely mentions Him. Nevertheless, he was the chosen historian for the tiny Jewish nation, appointed by the Roman Empire under Titus. This brings to question: what is "real" evidence to anything which atheists do not believe about Scripture or Christ? One thing is certain, There will never be a photograph or video, and even if there was, it would, of course, be disputed. What's sad is that impressionable minds sometimes come to YA R&S for answers from spiritually minded people, only to be greeted by the messengers of Satan who hang around to insult, mock, and discourage anyone with genuine faith. And in my opinion, these angry, Godless people should be corrected for the impressionable.
