What exactly is pop music..?

Believe it or not pop was decent until the 90's. Pop today is just garbage, its a bunch of business people writing crappy lyrics, creating a "catchy" beat and having some anorexic teen who can't sing (a lot of auto-tune is used, look at Rebeca Black) promoting it so the businesses could make as money as possible. The genre is usually about shallow things such as teen love, partying, and materialism. I have little respect for anyone stupid enough to call modern pop "music."
