Is it possible to be able to make a decent living in CT with an average household income of 120k a year?
Is it possible? I live in a suburb of Chicago now with my parents, and my dad insists that an avg household income of 120k a year is not much to live on in IL, let alone CT. I'm thinking about going to vet school (a starting salary would prolly be around 60k) and my partner is in computers (guessing about another 60k) Is that too little to live on? My dad has always wanted me to be a doctor, and when I told him I wanted to be a vet he was horrified due to the lower salary. Because I'm still pretty impressionable, it's hard to not do "what daddy says" is right. I'm always frightened that someday I'll realize he was right and regret working with animals, my passion. Can I get a reasonable adult's response?
